The ACEA has released a report that addresses the barriers to the uptake of electrically-chargeable cars in Europe.

They identify 3 main barriers of consumer uptake of electric vehicles in Europe as being affordability, infrastructure availability and lack of investment.

Even though automotive OEMs are moving towards more electric, hybrid and fuel cell vehicle production, market penetration is still low and variable across the EU.
